It is my honor and privilege to journey with you.
I believe in the power of connection and relationships. Many times in our lives, we come into places where we get stuck, feel disconnected, and wonder about our place in this life. This can look like depression, anxiety, disconnection, broken relationships, and others. I believe therapy is a place where people can be known, seen, and heard. My desire to create a safe space where people can explore their questions, build stronger connections in relationships, and strengthen their inner resources.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Texas at Austin and my Masters of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from the Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. I have specialized training in Restoration Therapy. I am also a Certified PREPARE/ENRICH Facilitator and a Certified MarriageStrong Facilitator.
I have been a member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists since 2014.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #107667.

I usually work with my clients on a weekly basis from a Restoration Therapy based approach. However, I value client collaboration and believe in tailoring therapy sessions based on client needs. I have practiced with clients from various cultural/ethnic, socioeconomic and spiritual backgrounds.
My clinical interests include:
Premarital Counseling // Prepare and Enrich
Depression & Anxiety
My fee is $150 per 50 minute session. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept cash, check and most major credit cards. I offer a sliding scale upon availability. If this would apply to you, please let me know.
If you are interested in couple’s therapy, I find it useful to come for an extended session time of 100 minutes. The extra time allows for both parties to have space to each express and be understood in the session. The fee for the extended session is $300.
I accept insurance as a PPO Out of Network Service Provider. If this applies to you, please let me know during your initial session.
Prior to your first session, feel free to print out and complete some office paperwork at home before your arrival. For couples, each individual will need to complete his/her own forms.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really need therapy? I can usually handle my problems.
There are times in our lives when we find ourselves to be at a crossroads or stuck point. I believe that therapy can be a great support and help to lift us out of those spaces. Therapy will help to provide a space to process and work through these areas of stickiness and provide you with tools to better cope with the throes of life when they come again.
What about medication vs. psychotherapy?
Medication can be a very useful and powerful aide when it is used correctly and under the supervision of a licensed medical professional. I believe that together both medication and psychotherapy (therapy) can help people overcome and work through most challenges that come their way.
Is therapy confidential?
Therapy is designed to be a safe space where you can talk about whoever and whatever you like in a confidential space. As a therapist, I will protect your right to privacy and confidentiality. However, I am also mandated to report child, elder, and dependent adult abuse, or if someone is a danger to themselves or others.
What should I expect during the first session?
During the first session, I will ask you to come early to complete some paperwork. We will review it together, and I will do my best to answer any questions you have about the process of therapy. For the remainder of the session, I will ask you to begin sharing you story. What brought you into therapy? How long has this been going on for you? How have you been coping in light of this issue? Generally, the first 3-4 sessions will look like me asking you a LOT of questions about your story. It helps me to get a full picture of who you are and how all of life has impacted you so far.
